Captain Mike Dennis came to the Cape Fear area to work
for the E.I. Du Pont Company in 1974. He fell in love with the beauty
of the crystal clear waters at Wrightsville Beach, N.C. and the abundance
of grey trout, king mackerel, speckled trout that were around the single
rock wall jetty at that time. Captain Mike Dennis has a great respect
for the Atlantic Ocean, for he has fished the Carolina Coast all his
life, his passion for fishing and eagerness to learn, he has caught
Blue Marlin, Blue Fin Tuna, Sailfish, Tarpon, Wahoo, Yellow Fin Tuna,
Grouper and Snappers, while commercial fishing for kings for over 10
years, he has seen a thousand of pounds of king mackerel come over the
back of the boat in a single day. This Captain still has the love for
fishing, as he did when he caught, his first king mackerel on Crystal
Pier at Wrightsville Beach, N.C.
